Careful What You Wish For
When a girl encounters what she believes to be a “religious” item, it seems as if all her wishes come to life with just a prayer. Soon she becomes obsessed with the power the object gives her over her fate and before she knows it she’s losing herself piece by piece and all that is left is a soul too far gone to be saved.

My animations are a love letter to early 2000's cartoons. Through my art I’m hopping to bring back a little bit of what was lost throughout the years.
This film began with a simple idea: what would happen if a character started praying to a haunted object? Soon it became an exploration of how superficial desires and longing for material goods combined with blind faith can lead to psychological decline.
Our unnamed heroine, The Girl, falls victim to her obsession for recognition. She finds comfort in her faith but ultimately this is what leads her to downfall. Careful What You Wish For is a story about having blind fate in a power and having to deal with the consequences that it come with.
