Girls, We’re Killing It!
Set in a small college town in modern times and inspired by sorority culture, we explore the crossroads where girlhood meets obsession. In her desperate attempts at finding community during her college years, Adele decides to join The Girls—an exclusive sorority who are the source of dark and twisted rumors. But as the rituals begin, the lines between an elitist club and a cult blur and our heroine finds herself at a point of no return. While her fascination for the girls grows, Adele's grasp on reality loosens until there's nothing to hold onto.

This project is my graduation film and as I began writing my horror story on girlhood and obsession, the girl experience started to transform into something religious, almost like a secret society, with specific rituals, rites and initiations.
Often girlhood is portrayed as constant competition for popularity, who gets the most boys, whose hair is longest, who wears the most expensive clothes, and rarely something else. In my short film, “Girls, We’re Killing It”, the sorority, who I refer to as “The Girls”, plays the role of both community and threat to our heroine. The Girls become simultaneously nurturing and consuming, equally human and monstrous. In horror, women are often terrifying because of their bodies and rarely because of violence. So, girlhood as an experience, with its insecurities, unspoken competitions and unfair expectations, becomes the source of horror.
And so, during the final act of the film the unavoidable truth is revealed and our suspicions are confirmed: The Girls are a cult. But for a fleeting moment we hope that Adele is in good hands. We watch Adele grow closer to The Girls, as she is getting ready for parties, playing dress up, even trusting them with her feelings. When Adele wakes up the following morning to find the fateful letter on her desk, we are still laching on to a hope that will soon vanish.
